The University does not assume responsibility for personal items lost, mislaid, or stolen in Housing facilities. Unfortunately, community living has the potential for providing irresistible temptation to some residents and non-residents. We strongly urge you to help prevent the possible loss of property by keeping your door locked and windows closed whenever your room is unoccupied. We will provide you with a personal property insurance policy that you may purchase if your personal items are not covered by your parents' homeowner policy.
